In this course, students are trained in the art of hair, nail design and basic skin care. The students learn how to cut, color, style, and chemically alter the texture of hair. Using a wide variety of product lines, students are taught manicures and pedicures, as well as specialty nail services such as acrylic nails and gel nails.  Students learn basic skin care and are instructed on how to perform basic facials and to confidently recognize skin conditions. This course is 1500 credit/1500 clock hours of training. At completion, students are awarded a diploma.  A state board theory and practical exam must be successfully completed before students will be issued a professional license.
